What's New
August 2007 - Taranaki Voices is a snapshot of Taranaki people in 2007. We talked to people in the street of some of the major towns in the Taranaki, and asked them about their life in Taranaki and why they like it here.

May 2007 - During the last weeks of the first term in 2007, 48 children from 20 Taranaki schools have been learning the fine art of film making at Puke Ariki. See the results of their hard work on the Film Workshops page.

The Gala Film Premiere was held on Friday, 11th May 2007 to celebrate and showcase the finished film projects based on the learning experience from the Film Workshops the students attended. View the videos here on the Gala Film Premiere Wiki page.

About the Wiki and Some Important Notes
This Wiki has been set up to allow the people of Taranaki, and elsewhere, to share their knowledge of all things Taranaki.

You are encouraged to contribute your stories, memories and recollections regarding anything that has a Taranaki Connection.

For example, if you have a connection with the railway, look for existing pages on the railway. Write a history of the lines, the engines and railcars. The people who worked on it. The places it passes through. Find photos and scan them in - then upload to the Image Galleries.

The success of this Wiki comes down to the enthusiasm of its contributors. Don't be shy!

To contribute your stories, we do ask that you register for an account. It's very quick, and there is no personal information required, aside from a valid e-mail address. This e-mail address is private within the Wiki, and you will only be known through your username.

We do encourage common sense, and so please refrain from vandalising this Wiki. Please read the Code of Conduct for more information. We also recommend that you read our Terms and Conditions before using this site. If you have any views on the Code of Conduct or Terms and Conditions, please check out the Forums area, where you can submit your comments.

If you have any further questions, consult the FAQ first. It's likely the question and answer is already there. FAQs are accessed through the menu to the left.

If you want to find out how to get going, read through the Wiki Quick Start. That will guide you on how to register as a user and start creating content.

The Wiki allows pages to be grouped into Categories. This can help with navigating the content.
